Family Wholesale Business
Our family wholesale business was started in 1928 by William Hamilton who ran it with his son Freddie from the back room of a house on Phibsborough Road, Dublin, where he also ran a shop from the front of the house. Deliveries where made with a horse & cart in the early years predating delivery vans. William died in 1954 and Freddie took over until his death in 1975 when his son (also called Freddie Hamilton) is still running the business to this day. It is now being run from Kilcoole where the 4th generation are well in place to move things forward, with Freddie Jr now managing the business and ably assisted by his brother Barry.

D.C Kelly (Wicklow) Ltd was established in 1992. Started by the late Dermot Kelly and his daughter Claire, their main product was Gerstel Brau – alcohol free lager. They were situated on Charvey Lane in Rathnew and steadily expanded their product range into glassware, cleaning detergents, janitorial & catering disposables, supplying pubs, hotels, restaurants, takeaways, schools & nursing homes.Following the untimely death of Dermot, Claire amalgamated the business with Freddie Hamilton Wholesale in April 2013 and is now running it from Kilcoole.

Based in Network Enterprise Park, Kilcoole, we at Freddie Hamilton Wholesale can now offer our customers a One Stop Shop supplying all types of businesses in the Leinster area with a full range of Confectionery, Minerals, Crisps, Ice-cream and Glassware, Cleaning Detergents, Janitorial & Catering Supplies. In our Confectionery, Crisps and Mineral Division our selection is second to none. We stock all the major brands; Cadburys, Mars, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Lucozade, Club, Tayto, King, Manhattan, Walkers etc. We stock a vast range of kiddies sweets, as well as up-to-date and retro varieties. We also have a full range of summer & seasonal novelties. We offer next day delivery and lots of special offers along with very keen prices.

In our Janitorial & Catering Division we have a full range of Toilet Rolls, Hand Towels, Refuse Sacks, Cleaning detergents, Mop Buckets, Catering Disposables, Glassware & Barware. We are agents for Evans Cleaning Detergents and Arcoroc Glassware and have a 500 page catalogue in which we have access to thousands of Catering Products including Chef’s Uniforms, Utensils, Cookware, Crockery & Cutlery.
